After adding an application to resmate.io, you can follow these guidelines to maximize your resume's impact on employers. Start by viewing your most recent job listing.

Access and Review Job Requirements

First, check out the summary qualities for the position. This will describe the experience requirements and the most useful skills for employers. The detailed job description is below the summary qualities section.

View Resume Scoring Results

Click on the "Resume" tab in the upper right tab menu. This will open your resume (at the time you add the job listing to your profile) and reveal a score for each section. The score is an average of each bullet point's relevancy to the summary qualities found in the job description. We'll sort your bullet points by this score to always put the most relevant text first.

Edit and Customize

You can make manual adjustments to customize your resume further. Resmate.io will provide real-time updates to your match score as you edit, showing how well your resume aligns with the summary qualities.

Download

Once satisfied with your document, download your tailored document with a professional styling template. You can customize a styling template here and make it your own!

Tips for Effective Optimization

  • Quantify Achievements: Use metrics and numbers to highlight your accomplishments.

  • Stay Relevant: We'll grab only the relevant descriptions for each of your resume sections.

By following these guidelines, we'll create a highly targeted resume that increases the chances of getting noticed by recruiters and hiring managers. You can optimize your resume after adding an application and take a step closer to securing your dream job.
